Papa Joe's Restaurant and Catering

In 1984, Cathy and Niel bought a small pizzeria with 16 seats consisting of wooden picnic tables and benches. We had a coke sign, a beer tap and section with photos of all our customers.

Then we expanded and took over ½ of the next store and we had 8 more tables. Then in about 2 years later we expanded again.

We then moved to where we are now on Commack Road in Deer Park. Our customers were having larger parties and more parties and we knew that we needed more space to hold these events. We then opened up Bella Verde in Heartland Village on the golf course where do cater Weddings, Engagement parties, Birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs and all other special occasion parties.

The Staff at Papa Joe’s is like family! The Bus Boys become Waiters, the Waiters become Men and we are still a Family. We do our customer’s Christening, then First Birthday, then Sweet 16 party, and then Wedding. It goes on and on!!!

Our new Chef, Dennis Chiarenza, started with us as a Bus Boy, continued to become a Waiter, then continued on to Culinary School and returned becoming our Head Chef for Papa Joe’s and Bella Verde.
